Answer: The Kings and Queens of the bygone era would consult astrologers for finding good days for all vital events like signing of treaties, Start off milatary campaigns, Marriages, inauguration of bridges etc. The Star of Bethlehem or Christmas Star is an important aspect connecting birth of jesus and heavenly bodies. Earth, Venus and Saturn are the planets mentioned in the Old Testament. The Bible names some half-dozen star groups. Astronomical events and corresponding important happenings on earth are widely mentioned not only in bible, but also in the literary works all aroung the world during ancient times.

Auspicious day/Lucky day is the most beneficial day chosen to execute or start an event so that the task is carried out without any obstacle. A lucky day helps in concentrating the energy of the planets and other astrological factors in an auspicious way so as to nullify the evil influences and make the result of the work performed most fruitful. The time of birth of a person cannot be controlled by anyone. But the time of the event can be controlled. Basically, the time of an event is the birth of the event; therefore its future will depend upon that time. If you start any work in a lucky day, it increases the possibilities of success. Astrology consists of a number of belief systems that hold that there is a relationship between astronomical phenomena and events or descriptions of personality in the human world. Astrology has been rejected by the scientific community as having no explanatory power for describing the universe. Scientific testing has found no evidence to support the premises or purported effects outlined in astrological traditions. Where as Hemerology is the study of Calenders mainly to find Lucky or good Days for doing specific activities or cermonies. Even the scientific community uses Hemerology. Example: Launching of rocket is not conducted on a random day, it is calculated on various factors like location on earth from where its launched, destination distance, weather, climatic conditions etc.

Question: Christianity and relation with Astronomy, astrology and Hemerology?

Astrology had support in early Christianity, but support waned during the Middle Ages. Support for it grew again in the West during the Renaissance. During Middle ages, many misintrepreted teachings of bible and they thought, Astrology is offensive to God because it attributes to planets and stars the power that belongs to God alone and because it tries to find the will of God by other means than God has appointed.

Throughout the Bible God tells us that He will guide us; read Psalm 23:1-2, 25:9, 12, 32:8; Luke 1:79; and John 7:17.

Based on above verses, many during middle ages, misintrepreted A Christian has no need of astrology with its futile hints because believers can turn instead to the guidance of God’s Word. But the original christians and modern christians think alike. Most christians would use Google maps for directions and wont look for them in bible, That doesnot mean, people are moving away from bible or god. God has created stars, planets and everything.
